Meanwhile, the PNP said 49 policemen had acquired a healthy weight.

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Archie Francisco Gamboa urged the policemen to reduce their weight to meet their ideal BMI. This is for them to perform their duties well.

The 86 policemen were currently enrolled at the Public Safety Officers Basic Course Class of 2020.

In early February, several police directors, chiefs, and officers were sacked in Central Visayas and Bulacan.

The recent reshuffle of PNP officers was based on a memorandum ordered by the office of PNP Chief Police General Archie Gamboa.

“The revamp was based on over-all performance, campaign against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, and corruption, implementation of internal cleansing against rouge cops, compliance to specific orders on the discipline of personnel such as playing golf during office hours, etc.”, said Gamboa.

Three PNP colonels were sacked after they were repeatedly caught playing golf while on-duty in January.
