Two sisters who ran a ‘cyberporn’ operation involving children as young as eight months have been arrested.
Thirteen infants and children were rescued when the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) raided the women’s home in Dasmarinas, Cavite province.
The two suspects have been identified as Elvie and Arlene Aringo.
The NBI’s anti-human trafficking division chief, Janet Francisco, said the arrest and rescue operation was a result of intelligence being shared by US Homeland Security.
She said the suspects forced the young girls to perform sex acts in front of the camera. Foreign perverts would pay to watch the online abuse for $50 to $100 per show.
It is also feared that some of the clients came to the Philippines and paid at least 10,000 pesos to have sex with some of the girls, who were as young as eight months.

The Baltimore man is facing at least 35 years in prison when he is sentenced. (Read more here)

Last October, we also reported on an NBI raid that nabbed a great-grandmother running a ‘cyberporn den’ in Taguig City.
Exploited in the operation were a five-year-old boy, his sister (age not released) and an 11-year-old who was said to not be part of the family.
An investigation revealed that the 74-year-old was collecting 6,000 pesos from foreign men per show.
Again, the raid originated from intelligence shared by American law enforcement agencies. (Read more here)
However, by far the most shocking example of such online abuse is the case of Peter Scully, who is also accused of murdering some of his victims after subjecting them to the most horrifying torture. He is currently awaiting trial.
UPDATE: Three people were arrested during a raid on a suspected cyberporn operation in Taguig City.
Two women and a man are suspected of pimping children – including the daughter of one of the women – to foreign perverts via the internet.
The arrests were made by the National Bureau of Investigation Anti-Human Trafficking Division following a tip-off from the US Department of Homeland Security.
Two of the children used by the pimping ring were aged seven and 15.
