A 53-year-old OFW found dead in her employer’s house in Clear Water Bay, Hongkong, Monday morning.

Police identified the Filipino domestic worker as Grace R.L. from Tuguegarao.

According to HongKong News, Grace’s employer found her unconscious in their house at 11 Pik Sha Road, Clear Water Bay. She is believed to have died of natural causes.

A 53-year-old Filipino domestic worker from was found dead yesterday morning (September 9) in her employer’s home in Clear Water Bay, according to the police.

A police spokesperson said the long-time employer of Grace R.L., who is from Tuguegarao, found her unconscious in their home at 11 Pik Sha Road, Clear Water Bay. She is believed to have died of natural causes.

The police spokeswoman said that the employer called them at 7:32 a.m.  “The employer discovered the body of the domestic helper who had collapsed, and so she made a report to the police,” she said.

An ambulance with paramedics responded to the scene, but the OFW was already dead.

According to the initial investigation, police said that there was nothing suspicious about the Pinay domestic worker’s death.

Tsuen Kwan O police continued to follow up on the helper’s death which considered as “dead body found” case.

A source at the Philippine Consulate General (PCG) said the OFW’s employer was already coordinating with the Assistance to Nationals Section and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration to bring her remains home.

“Her employer arranged for her children to fly here in HK. They are expected at the consulate today,” the PCG official said.

According to reports, the Pinay OFW had been working in Hong Kong for the last 30 years and was also a church worker.

Grace was already the third Filipino domestic worker who died in HongKong since September started. On September 1, a 32-year old domestic worker died due to a heart attack in Yuen Long. Another died because of an aneurysm on September 6 in Tsuen Wan.
