A male employer raped an overseas Filipina worker in Saudi Arabia. The victim, who also said she was also abused by the suspect’s wife, sought rescue from authorities.
The OFW identified as “Rose” said that just a few months after her employment in Damman, her female boss started to abuse her physically. At the same time, the male employer began to act lasciviously towards her.
One day, while the wife was on vacation in Riyadh, the husband raped the OFW.
“Binaboy niya po ako. Pinupwersa niya ako, hinila niya ako,” Rose said.
[He abused me. He was forcing me, grabbing me.]
Rose said she immediately reported the incident to her agency. Then her employer raped her again.
After this, Rose decided to leave while the suspect was sleeping.
“Nagdesisyon akong lumabas ng bahay kasi natakot ako kung ano na namang gawin niya sa akin [I decided to leave because I was afraid of what he might do to me again],” Rose said tearfully.
While Rose was walking, her male employer’s friend saw and called her. He fetched her and brought her to the agency.

However, the OFW’s passport and travel documents were in her female employer’s possession.
“Ngayon po malapit na pong umuwi siya, ang plano ko po ay makauwi na ng Pilipinas bago niya ako abutan kasi baka siya ang pumatay sa akin,” Rose said.
[Now that it’s nearing her return, I plan to return to the Philippines before she catches up with me because she might kill me.]
“Tulungan niyo po ako. Gusto ko po makita ang mga anak ko. Parang awa niyo na sir, ma’am,” she added.
[Please help me. I want to see my children.]
The Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia and vowed swift action on the matter.
The Embassy also promised to get Rose’s passport and other travel documents from her employer.
