Biazon shocked by BuCor’s construction of wall in Muntinlupa

Muntinlupa Representative Ruffy Biazon was shocked by the construction of the wall of Justice in Muntinlupa by Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) personnel last Friday night.

Biazon explained that they had continuously coordinated with BuCor since March when they built a wall in Southville 3.

According to Biazon, they have already submitted their grievance to Justice Secretary Meynardo Guevarra.

Biazon still hopes that the dispute between BuCor and the local government of Muntinlupa will not reach the prosecution.

“So last recourse lang ho talaga kung merong legal action na gagawin,” he added.

BuCor insisted this Sunday that they did nothing wrong when they closed a road to Katarungan in Muntinlupa.

In a statement, the agency said one of their mandates was to make sure the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) was safe, so the road near the jail was closed. It is said that there are as many illegal activities as recorded inside the NBP camp.

BuCor asserted that residents of Kataranguan 1 and Katarungan 2 have many other avenues.
