Ben&Ben released a new song entitled “Lifetime” with tearjerker lyrics inspired by their fan’s real-life heartbreak story.
“Lifetime” was released on June 4 and was written by the band’s lead vocalists, twins Paolo and Miguel Guico.
The band said the love story of a certain “Anne jou” who shared her experience in loving her best friend in secret, only to find out years after that he was once in love with her too. Unfortunately, the guy was about to get married when they admitted they had feelings for each other.
Miguel shared in a Zoom interview with Rappler on June 1 that the fan’s line “if only one of us dared to make a move, a lifetime was waiting for us” inspired them to write the song “Lifetime.”
Among Ben&Ben hits are “Kathang Isip,” “Maybe the Night,” “Make it with You,” “Pagtingin,” and “Masyado pang Maaga.” The band has a total of nine members.
