NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, Philippines – Lakawon Island, located in the northern regions of Negros Occidental, has something pretty incredible to offer. The stunning banana-shaped island off the coast of Cadiz is often referred to as the “miniature Boracay” of Negros due to its amazing beauty, pristine waters and untouched white sands.
Negros, a land of many beautiful beaches, now offers a new addition to one of its exclusive islands. Lakawon has added an amazing new floating bar called TawHai – noted as the large floating bar in all of Asia, TawHai looks like the floating bars of Ibiza, Spain.
Diving off the bar into the pristine waters is permitted, and the entrance fee of only 200 pesos is as easy on the wallet as it gets. The floating bar has specialty foods and offers a variety of drinks for young and old.
With lounge chairs throughout the deck area, lighting on board for night time, and the unique features of being a large floating bar like nothing else in Asia, TawHai is a ‘must see’ adventure.
No outside food or drink is allowed, and you can reserve select seats in the floating bar but with minimum orders that go along with those reservations. Holding time for reservations are only till 9:30 a.m. – those who do not make the deadline will have their seats given to walk-on guests.
Hours of the TawHai floating bar is Monday – Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and every Friday, Saturday and Sunday the hours are extended from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Come enjoy the beauty of Negros Occidental, and take a trip on Asia’s largest floating bar, TawHai.
