A new Davao City Immigration Chief has been appointed after a major shake-up in the Bureau of Immigration.
Janet Anolin, who was immigration supervisor at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), has replaced Eddie Delima as the Davao Immigration head.
Delima has said in a phone interview with Sun Star that he has been assigned by the immigration office in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan. Delima has also said that his transfer was in line with BI commissioner Siegred Mison’s Policy to reshuffle officials every one to two years – “to prevent the personal attachment of alien control officers to clients.”
The last major shake-up in the bureau was in 2013 and was prompted by allegations of widespread corruption among immigration officials in Davao
