In an announcement today (Tuesday, April 2), the airline said it will start flying between the two cities on August 9 this year. The service will run four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The flight will depart Clark at 7am, with the return flight leaving Narita at 1.15pm for a 5pm arrival.

To celebrate the launch of the service, Cebu Pacific is offering promotional fares for as little as 2,099 pesos each way.

The cut-price tickets are available until next Tuesday (April 9) and are available for travel from August 9 to October 26 this year.

“There is so much untapped potential in Clark, and we are committed to expanding our Clark hub to expand tourism, trade, and investment opportunities,” said Candice Iyog, the airline’s vice president for Marketing and Distribution. “This will open up the areas around Clark to more investors and entrepreneurs.”

As we reported last month, the budget carrier has previously announced new flights between its hubs in Clark and Iloilo; as well as between Clark and Bacolod on August 9. It will also start daily flights between Clark and Puerto Princesa in Palawan by October 9.

According to the carrier, the four new routes are expected to boost the capacity at Clark airport by 40 per cent this year.

Last week we reported on another new service for Cebu Pacific linking Cebu Mactan Airport with China’s Shanghai.

The maiden flight of the route will be on April 15. It will run six times a week, from Monday to Saturday.

Ms Iyog said: “We want to provide more international connections from our other hubs in the Philippines, and by connecting our Cebu hub to Shanghai, we offer travellers from China a compelling and easy option to access another top vacation destination.”
