Hundreds of Muslims in Lanao del Sur rushed early to the capitol grounds of Marawi this Tuesday morning to celebrate Eid al-Adha or Feast of Sacrifice.

“Kung mayroon mang pagsubok, maialis sana ‘yan. Magta-3 taon na ang pagsubok na ito. Hingin natin ito sa Panginoon. Hindi ito kaya ng mga doktor, hindi ito kaya ng mga leaders natin. Sa kaniya tayo dapat umasa,” said Aleem Alibasher Abdulatif, spokesman for the National Imam’s League.
Eid al-Adha will be celebrated for three days, where activities include the slaughter of animals.
