Mexican Ambassador to the Philippines, Julio Camarena Villaseñor, met with top officials of the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently to discuss possible investment opportunities.

Villaseñor and his team met at the Marco Polo Hotel on Friday to discuss bringing agriculture, power and business process outsourcing investments to Davao.

Villaseñor said firms from his country were eyeing infrastructure development, especially those related to port and airport modernisation facilities in Davao.

The Davao City Chamber welcomed the announcement saying it would easily translate to employment opportunities throughout the region.

The Chamber also said that they were preparing to meet with Mexican counterparts to discuss the details of their proposals.
