Some Metro Manila LGUs vaccinate outsiders

The cities of Mandaluyong and Pateros have already opened their vaccination against COVID-19 to non-residents of the city to speed up the vaccine drive.

This is the “We Vax As One” program where non-residents in the said cities can book an appointment. Marikina and San Juan will also relax their vaccination programs.

In Mandaluyong, walk-ins are prohibited. Must also register online and wait for the schedule.

Vaccine recipients must also show a government-issued ID.

The vaccinator must also sign a declaration statement as proof that this is their first or second dose of COVID-19.

This is to prevent a recurrence of reports of “vaccine hopping,” according to mayor Menchie Abalos.

“Everyday sina-submit namin sa DICT (Department of Information and Communications Technology). Makikita ‘yan. Doon palang mate-trace na. Madedemanda talaga sila,” said Abalos.

In Pateros, non-residents interested in getting vaccinated are also registered on the website, which contains a QR code.

When it comes to outsiders, we do not accept walk-ins, dahil sa fear na hindi pa naki-clear sila ng DICT, baka mamaya bakunado na sila sa labas,” said Ponce.

According to the Mandaluyong local government, 430,186 have already been vaccinated with the first twelve. This exceeds the target of 70 percent of the population.
