McDonald’s limits delivery time, to prioritize web and app orders

McDonald’s Philippines announced it made adjustments on its delivery service McDelivery as compliance with the regulations of the enhanced quarantine in Luzon.

In a Facebook post, it said that effective March 17, they will implement the following for their delivery services:

  • Only orders placed between 7:00 am to 4:30 pm will be accommodated.
  • Not all areas will be covered. There is a chance that they could not deliver to customers because of its limited workforce that is preparing and delivering the food.
  • No delivery time guarantee. But they promised to get customers’ food the soonest.

McDelivery also emphasized that they will prioritize processing website and app orders.

They also said there is a chance that their 8888-6236 and other hotlines may not be available.

“We ask for your understanding as we work to serve you while ensuring the health and safety of our crew, call center agents, and riders. We look forward to being 100% operational as soon as the quarantine is lifted. Thank you,” it said.

Yesterday, its rival fast-food Jollibee also announced the temporary closure of some of its stores in Luzon due to enhanced community quarantine.

American coffee company Starbucks meanwhile decided to close all of its stores in Luzon.

Under the Luzon-wide total lockdown, food preparation and delivery services could remain open to serve those affected of the quarantine.
