An aerial inspection of the region uncovered the massive hoard of plants – a second inspection of the same area also uncovered a smaller plantation worth an estimated five million pesos which was located on the opposite slope of the larger farm.

Sources said the plants are taller than full grown corn and was highly visible from the air.

Police say that they plan to tackle the entire region as many rumors say that marijuana plantations exist throughout Pasil and Lubuagan.

Authorities said that as of July they have eradicated the area in and around Mt. Bitalayungan – the mountain range contained a smaller growth eight hectare plantation that was uprooted by police.
