Despite fears that the Manila local government unit (LGU) will complete its ECQ aid distribution of aid today, it continued this morning, led by the Manila Department of Social Welfare.
“Sinimulan na po natin ngayong araw ang pamamahagi ng tig-P4,000 na ayuda mula sa pambansang pamahalan na inilaan para sa mga pamilyang Manilenyo na apektado ng [Enhanced Community Quarantine],” said Mayor Isko Moreno.
“May schedule po tayong itinakda sa bawat barangay upang maiwasan ang siksikan. Antabayanan lamang po ninyo ang pagdating ng [Manila Department of Social Welfare] staff sa inyong mga komunidad sa susunod pang mga araw para sa distribusyon ng ayuda sa inyong lugar.”
The Department of Social Welfare and Development, the Department of the Interior and Local Government, and the Department of National Defense supported the ECQ aid distribution.
On Monday, President Rodrigo Duterte slammed a mayor who has obscene pictures on social media.

Manila ECQ aid distribution continued amid tension between Duterte, Isko Moreno
“Kayong mga Pilipino, huwag kayong magpaloko diyan sa mga padrama magsalita. Nakita ko nga sa Facebook, naka-bikini ang gago, tapos may isang picture na sinisilip niya ang ari niya, iyan ang gusto ninyo? Ang training parang… callboy, naghuhubad, nagpi-picture, nag-bikini tapos ang garter tinaggal niya, hinila niya tapos tiningnan niya iyong…” said Duterte.
Duterte did not specify the mayor in bikini, but many think it was Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, a former actor before entering politics.
Duterte added that the city headed by the mayor with “obscene” photos would not be given the power to distribute aid, and instead, DILG and DSWD will take the lead on ECQ aid distribution.
“May isang siyudad diyan na hindi ko bibigyan ng power to distribute ayuda. Simply because in so many instances, they cannot organize,” said Duterte.
Instead of fighting Duterte, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso showed only achievements after President Rodrigo Duterte’s taunts and threats regarding his distribution of lockdown aid to their city.
