A man died after he suffered a heart attack and hit another car on his way to the hospital yesterday at Palico Diversion Road, Brgy. Palico 4, Imus City, Cavite.
Police identified the victim as Joel Dado, 57, married, and a resident of Blk. 5 Lot. 15A Mandel St. Parkdale 1, Brgy. Mambog 5, Bacoor City, Cavite.
Meanwhile, police have arrested Hyundai Sedan driver Joseph De Guzman, 40, married, and lives in Blk. 1 Lot. 231-232 Happy Homes, Brgy. Buhay na Tubig, Imus City.

As per the police report, the victim is riding a Mitsubishi Pajero wagon (TNE 974) at 9 am and was on his way to MCI Hospital for his heart disease check-up. However, Dado suffered a heart attack while driving. He then lost control of the wheel and hit an incoming Hyundai Accent Sedan (TIX 696) driven by De Guzman.
The collision’s impact damaged the car’s trunk, which crushed the victim.
Responders quickly rushed the victim to MCI Hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The victim’s wife, Cristina, has signed a waiver proving that she will not file a lawsuit against the driver.
