Man kills 4-year-old daughter in Quezon City

A man was arrested on Thursday after he allegedly killed his four-year-old daughter in Quezon City.

The suspect was identified as 28-year-old Lougie Carpeso. He was taken to police custody following the incident, which happened at their house in Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon at around 1:15 a.m.

According to the investigation, Carpeso and his wife tried to give medicines to the girl and her younger brother. The children had a fever.

However, the girl refused to take medicine and started crying. Carpeso got angry and punched his daughter twice on the abdomen.

The suspect and his wife rushed the child to the hospital after saw the girl having difficulty breathing.

They rushed their daughter to the hospital, but she died at around 3:24 a.m.

Their grandmother also died when the siblings were supposed to bring food.

Tan’s mother, Serma, has always said that he will join the army to serve the people.

Serma’s son wanted to help because their father was ill.

“Gusto nya pong makapagtrabaho para makapagbigay sa pamilya po,” said Serma.

In the shade of a tree near their house, the siblings were laid to rest, along with their grandmother.

Serma was left with a younger daughter.

A graduating grade 6 pupil was one of the civilians whose body was burnt after a C-130 plane hit his uncle’s house in Patikul.

13-year-old Khandawi Ahaddi was just watching TV at  while waiting for his mother, who was attending a wedding.

Marcelina was even more worried because while in the hospital in Jolo, Khandawi allegedly could not open his eyes.

Khandawi was supposed to graduate from grade 6 on July 12. He also failed to attend the pictorial for the yearbook on Monday.

The Philippine Red Cross has also provided aid for the family, as the military and local governments have done recently.
