80-year-old Jaime Medina involved himself in apprehending a phone snatcher who fled a jeepeney he was riding in, subduing him and assisting in the arrest of the would-be bandit.
Medina witnessed a snatcher who grabbed an Android cell phone from 17-year-old Crystal Salenoba, who was on her way to school aboard the same passenger jeepney.
55-year-old Elmo Maravilla suddenly grabbed Salenoba’s cell phone and fled the scene of the crime.
What Marvilla didn’t expect was when Medina quickly chased the suspect down and punched him once in the face, subduing him.
Medina recovered the cell phone and returned it to the student who was still inside the jeepeny where he began the chase.
Medina and several other citizens turned the phone snatcher over to Angeles City police.
