Latest news: Authorities are now looking at love triangle as the motive of the lady driver’s killing after investigators found out that the arrested female suspect was an ex-lover of Jang Lucero’s girlfriend.

In John Consulta’s report in 24 Oras Tuesday night, Calamba police arrested the 20-year-old suspect identified as Ann Sheila Montes Belarmino.

Witnesses through the CCTV footage identified her as one of the three passengers who rode Jang’s car on the night she was murdered.

Jang Lucero was found dead inside her car with 52 stab wounds inside her vehicle on Bypass Road in Calamba. She was laid to rest yesterday, July 6.

According to a witness, Belarmino allegedly took the passenger seat when Jang picked them up in front of a fast-food restaurant at around 9:45 pm in Los Baños crossing.

Investigators later found out that Belarmino was an ex-girlfriend of Jang Lucero’s current partner, Meyah Amatorio.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Gene Licud, chief of the Calamba Police Station, earlier revealed that Jang and Amatorio personally knew those involved in the crime.

“Si Ann no, allegedly may konting selos against doon sa biktima. Siya mismo yung sumakay sa sasakyan ng biktima. And napaka-importante na na-identify siya dahil siya mismo yung kasama nung mga sumaksak doon sa biktima,” police said.

(Ann allegedly was jealous of the victim. She rode the victim’s car. It was crucial that she was identified because she was with those who stabbed the victim.)

Belarmino was arrested on July 3 for murder. She was now detained at the Calamba City Police Station with no recommendation of bail.

According to the sources of GMA News, an alias “M” held Jang’s arms from the back while an alias “Ann” stabbed the victim when they reached Brgy. Bucal, Calamba, Laguna.

Alias “B” was allegedly driving the blue car, which the suspects used as their getaway vehicle.

Police said the suspects could have used an ice pick. That’s why there were fewer blood stains inside Jang’s car, but it penetrated her heart, lungs, gall bladder, and other internal organs.

Investigators added that Jang and the suspects belong in the same circle of friends.

Their friends also confirmed that Ann Sheila Montes Belarmino was the woman caught in the CCTV footage, as indicated by her hair cut and tattoo in her back.

Police are now conducting a manhunt operation against the remaining suspects.
