Korean star couple Ku Hye-sun, Ahn Jae-hyun now divorced

celebrity couple Ku Hye-sun, 35, and Ahn Jae-hyun, 33, are now officially divorced after four years of marriage.

The decision came out on July 15 when the Seoul Family Court held a mediation hearing about the divorce. The two celebrities, however, were not present during the hearing.

The couple’s divorce came ten months after Ahn Jae-hyun filed for divorce against Ku Hye-sun on Sept. 9, 2019. The two fell in love while doing “Blood” and tied the knot on May 21, 2016.

In a statement issued after the decision came out, the couple’s legal representatives said, “Ahn Jae-hyun and Ku Hye-sun agreed to settle for divorce through mediation on July 15, 2020,” according to SBS News.

“The two will each walk on their own paths, and they will wish the best for each other’s future. We express apologies for causing trouble to the public with their personal issues until now,” the statement added.

In 2019, Ku Hye-sun posted on her Instagram account that Ahn Jae-hyun wanted to divorce her.

Ku Hye-sun is a South Korean actress, singer-songwriter, director and artist. She gained widespread recognition in the television dramas Pure in Heart, The King And I, Boys Over Flowers, Take Care of Us, Captain, Angel Eyes and Blood.

Ahn Jae-hyun is also a South Korean model and actor. He is best known for his roles in television dramas such as You’re All Surrounded, Blood, Cinderella with Four Knights, Reunited Worlds, The Beauty Inside and Love with Flaws.

Last May, South Korean celebrity couple Lee Dong-gun and Jo Yoon-hee also ended their three-year marriage.

“Cho Young-hee divorced Lee Dong-gun following a divorce settlement at a court in Seoul on May 22,” said King Kong by Starship, Jo’s management agency.

The two actors first met in the 2017 TV series “The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop.”
