The couple had been staying at Oceanview Marina on Samal Island, just off the coast of Davao City.

Oceanview Resort is the same resort that Abu Sayyaf bandits captured two Canadians, a Norwegian and a Filipina in 2015 that has so far cost the lives of two foreigners, the ongoing captivity of the Norwegian and the release of Marites Flor, the Filipina involved in the nighttime raid.

Sources say that the Korean couple have been missing and their whereabouts are unknown – Eric Taylor, an American staying at Oceanview Marina told PLN Media that he and others have phoned ahead to Palau but it appears the couple never arrived at their destination.
