A Korean man and his Filipino cohort were arrested by police in Silang, Cavite, for trying to extort three million pesos from three Koreans.
The two men were arrested after arranging sex with children for the three Koreans. The men were arrested in an an entrapment sting at midnight in Silang.
The three Koreans who filed the complaint had agreed to have sex with three Filipino women. A Filipino man pretended to be the father of one of the girls and said she was a minor. He demanded three million pesos from the three Koreans in exchange for the non-filing of criminal charges for human trafficking against them.
The Koreon who arranged the encounter pretended to help the victims by acting as a mediator between them and the alleged father. The two were eventually arrested by Silang Municipal Police Station.
An investigation into the matter showed the Korean and Filipino man already knew one another and concocted the scheme to extort money from the victims.
Criminal charges are being prepared against the two suspects who are now being held at the Silang police detention facility.
