Nuezca was allegedly taken to the NBP hospital unconscious by fellow inmates after fainting.

“He was brought unconscious to the NBP Hospital by his cell mates at 6:30 PM yesterday (Nov 30,2021) while walking outside the dormitory purposely to go to the hospital after complaining of dizziness. But while walking, he collapsed,” said Chaclag.

He was also ordered to pay P952,560 in damages to the victim’s family.

In January, Iligan City Representative Frederick Siao on Tuesday appealed to government prosecutors to not let Jonel Nuezca use “insanity” as his defense for  Sonya and Frank Gregorio to death in December last year.

Siao said it could be expected that the killer  would push for an insanity defense in court given the fact that he pleaded  to a double murder.

He added Nuezca’s lawyers could use eyewitness testimony or present a psychologist or even a pastor to state a compassionate assessment of the dismissed cop’s mental health.

The killer cop recently filed a  plea in the  case filed against him after he was caught on video shooting dead two of his neighbors in Paniqui, Tarlac in December.

In 2020, Jonel Nuezca had grave misconduct (homicide) case filed against him. However, it was dismissed due to a lack of substantial evidence.
