Things changed for KaladKaren when she met her boyfriend Luke Wrightson in 2012, whom she calls her “Prince Charming.”

Luke, meanwhile, said he bought the ring in the UK and just waited for the right timing on when to get on one knee.

“We were going to a shopping mall and I said to my mum and my sister that I want to look at some jewelers ’cause I’m gonna propose to Jervi,” he said.

“My mum already knew ’cause I spoke to my mum and dad, bless him. I said I want to propose to Jervi next time I’m home so I need to find a ring,” Luke added.

The proposal happened one night while at their home balcony.

“It was a fantastic night. I think it’s one of the nights that I would never forget in my life,” KaladKaren said.

She became famous for her on-point impersonation of broadcaster Karen Davila.

KaladKaren has a fondness for traveling, having toured countries such as France, England, and the Netherlands with her boyfriend.

According to ABS-CBN, she “idolizes Geraldine Roman, the first transgender politician to win a congressional seat in the country. She explained that she, like Roman, fully supports the push for more LGBT rights.”

On January 6, 2020, the Philippines’ Supreme Court announced it had dismissed a motion to reconsider its September 2019 ruling denying a petition to approve same-sex marriage in the country, effectively concluding this case “with finality.”
