Jimmy Alapag writes letter to Philippines after moving to US

Former Gilas Pilipinas captain Jimmy Alapag wrote a touching letter to the Philippines after his whole family moved to the US last week.

“Hard to put into words the love I have for the Philippines. It’s been an incredible journey, and an experience that has been nothing but a blessing on my life. From the young, naive kid hungry just for an opportunity, to the man who fulfilled a life long dream and got a chance to see the world along the way,” he said in an Instagram post.

The “Mighty Mouse” added he had lots of memories in the Philippines that impacted his life.

“Yet as the past months have shown, sometimes our lives can take unexpected turns toward a path of struggle, doubt, and uncertainty. But these times also give us a chance, a chance to learn more, grow more, and value what means most to us in our lives,” Jimmy added.

“Not sure what lies ahead, but we have absolute trust and faith in God’s plans for our family. A new season, a new chapter. But no matter where this new path leads us, our heart will ALWAYS be here in the 🇵🇭. Never goodbye, just see you all again soon…..” the PBA star said.

Meanwhile, former Gilas head coach Chot Reyes also paid tribute to Jimmy Alapag an Instagram post.
