Jimmy Alapag writes letter to Philippines after moving to US

Former Gilas Pilipinas captain Jimmy Alapag wrote a touching letter to the Philippines after his whole family moved to the US last week.

“Hard to put into words the love I have for the Philippines. It’s been an incredible journey, and an experience that has been nothing but a blessing on my life. From the young, naive kid hungry just for an opportunity, to the man who fulfilled a life long dream and got a chance to see the world along the way,” he said in an Instagram post.

The “Mighty Mouse” added he had lots of memories in the Philippines that impacted his life.

“Yet as the past months have shown, sometimes our lives can take unexpected turns toward a path of struggle, doubt, and uncertainty. But these times also give us a chance, a chance to learn more, grow more, and value what means most to us in our lives,” Jimmy added.

“Not sure what lies ahead, but we have absolute trust and faith in God’s plans for our family. A new season, a new chapter. But no matter where this new path leads us, our heart will ALWAYS be here in the ??. Never goodbye, just see you all again soon…..” the PBA star said.

Meanwhile, former Gilas head coach Chot Reyes also paid tribute to Jimmy Alapag an Instagram post.

“Sending all my best to you, Jim on the next chapter,” he said. “Thank you for teaching me a lot about leadership, but most of all, Thank you for your friendship and your [heart].”

Last week, the family of couple  and  on Thursday left the Philippines and moved to Los Angeles, California, for good.

Sports website Spin.ph reported that Jimmy’s representative had confirmed the family’s departure.

Jimmy and LJ recently showed in their latest vlogs that they are moving out though did they did not specify the family’s to plan to migrate.

LJ said they would be sharing more details about leaving the Philippines soon.

Jimmy Alapag and LJ Moreno also earlier revealed that they lost their fourth baby.
