Jennica Garcia has confirmed split with husband Alwyn Uytingco after 7 years of marriage.
The Kapuso actress however refused to give further details regarding their separation.
“That’s the most that I could say right now. That’s the most that I can say now. It’s the reason din kasi talaga kung bakit kinailangan [ko] bumalik sa pag-a-artista (It’s also the reason why I really needed to get back to acting),” she said.
She added, “From a family-of-four, we are now just a family-of-three, sacrifices must really be made.”
Jennica also announced her comeback to show business after eight years.

“For the past seven to eight years, what I did was, I made this decision to really focus on my kids, and to do that, hindi talaga ako puwede gumawa ng teleserye kasi three times a week ang taping noon (For the past seven to eight years, what I did was, I made this decision to really focus on my kids, and to do that, I really couldn’t do television series because taping was thrice a week),” the actress said.
Jennica Garcia added, “So ang ginagawa ko lang is guestings kung saan two to three days max ‘yung trabaho. Wala kang commitment to that show for months and years. And it was working naman with our setup before (So what I would only do is guestings where the work would only be two to three days max. You don’t have a commitment to that show for months and years. And it was working with our setup before).”
Jennica Garcia thanked GMA-7 for welcoming her “fully as an artist.”
She is currently part of GMA’s afternoon drama “Las Hermanas” where she plays the role of Brenda, the antagonist of Yasmien Kurdi’s character Dorothy.
Jennica is the daughter of actress Jean Garcia. She married Alwyn Uytingco in February 2014 and they have two daughters, Athena Mori and Alessi.
