Former aid Jayke Joson says Pacquiao owes them $2 million

The relationship of Senator Manny Pacquiao and his former trusted aide Jayke Joson may go to court. This is after the latter accused Pambansang Kamao of allegedly taking an advance payment of P165 million to fight MMA fighter Conor McGregor which did not proceed.

According to Atty Nikki de Vega, Pacquiao’s legal counsel and spokesperson, they will file a corresponding complaint against Joson. This includes cyber libel and estafa.

De Vega claimed that Joson’s allegations were fabricated with the alleged money about Pacquiao’s alleged discontinued fight with McGregor in Las Vegas.

“Regarding sa claims niya, to be honest, they are fabricated claims. P165 million na kaniyang ina-advance daw na pera, those are baseless and false,” said De Vega in a press conference on Tuesday.

“We are actually going to file necessary criminal case. Cyberlibel, estafa, syndicated estafa. Siguro hintayin natin d’on. ‘Pag nai-file na namin, makikita ninyo doon,” he added.

Last June, Paradigm Sports Management filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against Pacquiao for allegedly failing to fulfill the contract.

In an interview with Jayke Joson on Sonshine Media Network International, he said that Pacquiao asked him to find a fight and get a cash advance.

Through Paradigm Sports, they were able to match Pacquiao’s fight with McGregor in Las Vegas.

Joson added that they solicited $2 million from Paradigm Sports for Pacquiao.

“So kinausap namin ang Paradigm, para mapagbigyan. Naayos po namin, on record po ‘yan. So nagbigay ang Paradigm ng $2 million kay Senator MP [Manny Pacquiao] as a cash advance since lalaban naman siya kung ano gusto ng Paradigm,” said Joson.

Joson went on to say that Pacquiao again asked for an additional $2 million from Paradigm Sports, but the company refused.

Jayke Joson said he and Arnold Vegafria, also a member of Pacquiao’s group, raised P65 million for the senator.

But Pacquiao allegedly left them without returning the money.

“To cut the long story again, part three, nabigay namin ang pera. Nagkasangla-sangla po kami. Nakuha niya ‘yung pera ng Paradigm, tinakbuhan po kami,” said Joson.

Until now, Pacquiao has not been in contact with them.
