‘It’s Showtime’ to air on free TV via Zoe broadcasting

ABS-CBN variety show It’s Showtime is set to come back on free TV as it would be aired on Zoe Broadcasting Network, Pep confirmed.

If there is no change in the plan, ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime will air on ZoeTV starting Saturday, October 10, and ASAP Natin ‘To on Sunday, October 11.

Zoe is the television station owned by Jesus Is Lord Church headed by Bro. Eddie Villanueva, and a new additional channel to be aired on Sky Cable starting October 8, 2020.

Vice Ganda was referring to It’s Showtime airing on Zoe Channel as a free TV when he said, “Better days are coming,” in an episode of their noontime show last week.

When the Congress did not renew the ABS-CBN franchise on July 10, 2020, It’s Showtime was temporarily aired on Kapamilya Channel.

The viewership of the program was severely affected because most were not cable subscribers.

It’s Showtime began as a search for the country’s most entertaining acts turns into a hit variety program launching a thousand trends for Filipinos and in abroad.

Having its distinct brand of entertainment, It’s Showtime thrives on spontaneity and animated conversations. As it keeps on churning out popular catchphrases and gimmicks, the show also draws people from all walks of life to showcase their talents.

‘It’s Showtime’ to air on free TV via ZOETV

The channel lease agreement between Zoe Broadcasting Network and GMA Network Inc. started in April 2005. hence QTV11, the lifestyle channel of Kapuso Network, was born in November 2005.

In February 2008, QTV11 was reformatted into GMA News TV, the news and public affairs channel of GMA Network Inc.

In April 2019, GMA Network Inc. announced that it would terminate the block time agreement with the Zoe Broadcasting Network.

It took effect on June 3, 2019.

And during this pandemic, the partnership between Zoe Broadcasting Network and ABS-CBN Corporation was formed so that Kapamilya station’s programs and artists have a new “free TV home.”
