The Aklan Provincial Government and Malay municipal government are preparing for the huge influx of visitors and vacationers to one of the Philippines most treasured tourist spots, Boracay.
Aklan Governor Florencio Miraflores said the provincial government is closely working with key government agencies to address the anticipated numbers of incoming people for the coming year.
Arriving on March 6 is a cruise ship which will be part of the Seaborne Cruise Line Ltd. – Also in March, 11 chief justices from the Association of South East Asian Nationals will arrive for a meeting at the Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa, the chief justices are here to discuss legal framework on the implementatoin of the ASEAN Economic Integration.
During the last week of march and the first week of April, thousands of Filipino and foreign visitors are expected to make their way to Boracay for Holy Week, a national past time.
Beginning in May, Boracay will host two ministerial meetings of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation – this is just the beginning of the influx of people to the region and the norm for those who love the white sand beaches of Boracay Beach.
