An illegal recruiter was arrested in Cagayan de Oro City Wednesday night after several complaints against the woman.
Leila Mae Tolentin was arrested in an entrapment scheme in Barangay Kauswagan in CDO – police set up the sting after an investigation also revealed she was fooling others with several fake names.
Additional investigations also revealed that most of her victims were from Cagayan de Oro – though she also has other complaints filed against her in Opol, a town in Misamis Oriental.
Tolentin denied the charges and said she is about to leave for abroad – she says those who filed complaints did so due to a grudge against her.
Police in CDO are preparing charges against her of illegal recruitment and swindling.
