The Philippines Drug Enforcement Agency and police raided a large-scale shabu operation in Lasam, Cagayan.
Regional Police Director said that chemicals, drums of liquid substances and equipment were seized in the shabu making den in Lasam.
Seven drums ephedrine and 700 kilos of shabu had a collective street value of 3.5 billion pesos (about $80 million dollars).
The laboratory is said to be run by a local politician. “We have received information that the politician moved into the property in July last year,” said Cagayan’s police director.
An additional raid on a warehouse in Gattaran, Cagayan, and additional chemicals and two helpers were arrested with numerous guns.
