The website was developed by Filipinos and work just like other international online platforms.

“For example sa mga kasama natin sa online platform, kami lang ang pwede ng pause, rewind, play, forward na mga features. ’Yung iba kung nag-start ka, hindi mo na pwede atrasin. Kailangan tapusin mo,” said Erik Matti, Upstream creative partner.

Upstream.ph homepage shos the posters of MMFF 2020 film entries. Dondon Monteverde, the streaming company’s business partner, said viewers just have to do choose films to watch.

“Tapos from there, may advance booking feature ang Upstream.ph. Gawin mo pindutin mo lang para mag-reserve ng ticket as early as now,” Monteverde said.

“Pindutin mo ‘reserve now’ ’yung ticket mo. Dadalhin ka na sa ticketing gateway namin. Doon ka magbabayad.”

Each movie ticket costs Php 250 or $10 for viewers abroad.

“Pagdating ng 25th to Jan. 7 real time na ’yan lahat,” Monteverde added.

Starting December 25, viewers both locally and internationally could watch all 10 films from the comfort of their own homes.
