Holes found in 10 tombs in Davao de Oro

It was only a few days after the burial of Eduard Ellorin Jr.’s late father in a public cemetery in Maragusan, Davao de Oro, but he was surprised by what he found.

While setting up a tent for the ninth day of his father’s death, Eduard noticed a hole in the tomb. But, unfortunately, there are also holes in 10 other adjacent tombs.

According to Eduard, nothing was lost on the corpse. He also did not know what the purpose of the perpetrators was.

But according to netizens in his Facebook post, the culprits may have been targeting “tuway-tuway” or knee caps to make amulets.

Eduard also noticed that the hole in the tombs was at the foot.

“Panawagan ko lang sa mga kamag-anak na bisitahin ang nitso ng kanilang mga mahal sa buhay (I ask the relatives to visit the tombs of their loved ones),” said Eduard.

He also called on the authorities to keep a close eye on the cemetery to prevent such incidents.

Maragusan Municipal Police is already investigating the incident.
