Heat of 2022 elections already felt: analyst

According to a political analyst on Thursday, the Philippine are already in full swing with the ongoing fight within the President’s own party.

According to Tony La Viña, this is normal because they are actually preparing for two years before the election even in other countries.

In the Philippines, he said, a year before the presidential election, those who intend to run begin to act because the filing of the candidacy is in October.

The internal quarrel with the President’s party is a clear signal to Sen. Manny Pacquiao that he should not obstruct the administration’s plan.

It will be recalled that Pacquiao, leader of PDP-Laban, criticized his party Energy Secretary Alfonso for allegedly encouraging President Rodrigo Duterte to run for vice president in the 2022 elections.

Pacquiao warns pandemic comes before politics. denied that he was the initiator of such an initiative.

Kung tatakbo ka, we will use everything against you.

It is not new that in every election, there is a quarrel between the parties. But it is not the party that is the basis of what is voted in the Philippines but personality and family.

As in the 2016 election, Duterte won under PDP-LABAN with only one congressman candidate, one senator candidate, and only a few local candidates.

His daughter Davao Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio is expected to run next for the presidency in the under the administration.

This is the worst of our politics for the train has been going to this direction matagal na,” said La Viña.
