Several high-powered firearms, ammunition and a drone have been confiscated inside one of the Philippines’ most notorious prisons, Bilibid.

On a raid inside cells, NBP guards seized guns and ammunition found inside the dormitory’s common storage area this past Thursday.

The raid came after a shooting inside the prison compound that killed former Masbate jail warden Charlie Quindatu.

A source also said that a Parrot AR Drone was also confiscated in the raid. It was equipped with two cameras and can be controlled by a smartphone or tablet.

The guns confiscated were a 9mm Taurus, a Glock 17, Walther P99, Springfield, two .40 calibre pistols, .45 calibre Colt and two 9mm Brownings. Also seized were 350 rounds of ammunition for various firearms.

Also taken in the raid was a small vault containing 11 necklaces and seven rings, all made of gold and precious stones.

The raid also produced various bladed weapons, two indoor antenna signal boosters, two refrigerators and a list containing transactions believed to be delivery notices for drugs.

Early this year another raid was taken up at the prison cells of Bilibid, resulting in many of the same findings, including guns, grenades, gadgets, appliances and more.

A new building was recently opened to segregate detained drug lords and high profile criminals. So far the system does not seem to be working.
