The forklift driver failed to see Beto and set the container in it supposed rightful place.

Upon setting the container down, the forklift driver – 43-year-old Sonny de Pedro failed to notice Beto was under the container – killing him instantly and squashing him in a gruesome accident that disintegrated the body of the dockworker under the container and the concrete platform.

The area that Beto was killed in is off-limits to pedestrians as it is a storage area for the steel containers in the yard. The young victim took a shortcut and was returning to work with his water from the nearby canteen.
