Almost a year ago GrabCar launched its ride-sharing scheme in the Philippines. The company has now decided to offer GrabCar plus – a premium service using midsize sedans, SUVs, Mini Coopers and a host of other premium vehicles.
Most cars used by GrabCar are subcompacts and compact sedans like the Honda City and Toyota Corolla.
The “premium service” will also come at a premium price as the base fare will be 90 pesos and 20 pesos per kilometre. The standard price for normal vehicles is 40 pesos base and 15 pesos per kilometre.
“We thank our loyal customers for making GrabCar a hit over the past year,” said GrabTaxi Philippines acting general manager Natasha Bautista.
“We have been getting good feedback for the professionalism of our drivers, as well as the cleanliness of our fleet. We have also been getting requests for more luxury car models that our customers can use when going to special events or important meetings. This is where we got the idea to launch GrabCar+.”
The service is idea for expats and foreigners living or visiting the Philippines – the higher end vehicles are perfect for official business meetings and for many the use of such vehicles to get around town will be a perfect way to drive your way to success.
