A total of 18 drug dealers have been arrested in the province of Sarangani. Of the group a government employee and two former barangay officials from Misamis Oriental were arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
One of the group is an administrative aide to the Maitum Municapal Hall in Sarangani – he was arrested in an entrapment on Monday.
In Kiamba, Sarangani, PDEA operatives arrested 26-year-old Christopher Paghobasan, a manicurist after he sold some 2,000 pesos worth of shabu to an undercover agent. Paghobasan’s cohort identified as one Adobo Rebuca escaped and is still being hunted.
The other 16 suspects were arrested during five simultaneous raids conducted by members of the PDEA and the Philippine National Police in Gingoog City in Misamis Oriental last Tuesday
Seized during the raids were approximately 145 grams of shabu, drug paraphernailia, several guns and numerous rounds of ammunition.
