Galvez warns against forgers of RT-PCR test results

COVID-19 national policy chief implementer and vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. warns against those making counterfeit RT-PCR test results.

He said the government will investigate the alleged forgers of the RT-PCR test results.

This is after it was reported that one diagnostic center in Valenzuela City is doing this.

“We will investigate that. We will give the RITM and the DOH a flag on this, kung pwede ibigay niyo samin ang details so we can investigate,” said Galvez.

He also has advice for those who make it.

“I believe I would like to call on our citizens, itong pamemeke na ito talagang delikado po nito. Buhay po ang nakataya dito and tiyak masisira po ang atin record lalo na kung ginagamit natin ang pamemeke nito na iyong iba OFW ang binibiktima natin, so malaki ang repercussion niyan diplomatically at the same time it can really endanger the lives of our people,” Galvez added.

He said he will seek the assistance of the PNP chief and the DILG to look into this type of violations.

Meanwhile, authorities are in the custody of a passenger who arrived in  City this weekend and presented a .

According to authorities, Frederick Panol Grande arrived at Francisco Bangoy International Airport and discovered that his RT-PCR test result was tampered with and stated that he was negative for COVID-19.

“An email from the testing center proved that he faked the result,” according to the Davao local government statement.

Authorities also said that the address and contact number he declared was also incorrect.

Grande surrendered, according to the airport’s health monitoring team, and confirmed that he was positive for COVID-19.

According to Davao City public safety and security command center chief Angel Sumagaysay, 33 people have been caught presenting fake RT-PCR test results, and 10 of them have already been charged.
