Forensic evidence related to Tarlac police killing being gathered

Police are continuing to gather evidence regarding the ambush in Capas, Tarlac, Tuesday morning.

Col. Renante Cabico, provincial director of the Tarlac Police Provincial Office, suspects that the culprits who killed Staff Sergeant Mike Maun are possibly not from the area.

In an interview with TeleRadyo Wednesday morning, Cabico said they are waiting for forensic evidence to help identify the culprits.

CCTV of Barangay Cristo Rey captured the murder of the 36-year-old member of the PNP Aviation Group assigned to Clark International Airport.

But still, kailangang pa po namin ng corroborating evidence para ma-confirm yung ganung balita,” said Cabico.

In the video, a black car can be seen blocking the victim’s vehicle. Two armed men immediately got out of the car and indiscriminately fired bullets at the victim’s vehicle.

The suspects abandoned the used car in Sitio Baloy, Barangay Arangonen in the said town.

He also said that the license plate affixed to the vehicle did not match the one registered with the Land Transportation Office.

Cabico promised that they would do everything to identify the culprits and resolve the case.
