A yacht carrying four foreigners and one Filipino man was reported missing off the coast of Northern Luzon since this weekend.
Those missing are as follows: Robin Wyatt (British), British Turner (Canadian), Harry Taylor (American), Alan Lundy (unknown) and Rudulph Bolloloz (Filipino).
The Philippine Coast Guard reported that local and international search teams have been deployed the search for the missing passengers.
Coast Guard officials said they spotted one body, wearing an orange life-vest. The aerial search team said the body was floating some 207 nautical-miles off the coast of Laoag.
Coast Guard officials said the body “appears to be lifeless” but they are still waiting confirmation on whether it is those among the five missing from the M/Yacht Europa.
So far the only information revealed, is the yacht departed from Clear Water Bay, Hong Kong on October 2 at 11am.
The yacht M/Yacht Europa was heading to Vigan, Ilocos Sur and was traversing the coast of Subic Bay to avoid the bad weather.
The men were to arrive at their destination on October 4, however, the men and their boat have not made their final destination.
Coast Guard officials said the boat made the initial plan to enter the Philippines territory t the time it sailed from Hong Kong.
