Police arrested five Chinese people in a buy-bust scheme in Quezon City on Friday morning.
The men were named as 30-year-old Zheng Yong; 33-year-old Xiong Bun Sy; 46-year-old Guo Weng; 41-year-old Chang Cheng Xu, and 57-year-old Alexander Go Jua
Confiscated in the raid was 50 million pesos worth of shabu, along with a silver Toyota Altis and a white Hyundai Accent.
Police say the group is behind another illegal drug syndicate from Pasig City who were arrested on September 27, 2015.
The drugs confiscated from the Pasig City raid came from the five Chinese suspects.
The five will be charged with Section 5 of Section 26 of the Conspiracy to Sell Illegal Drugs as well as Section 11 (Possession) under Republic Act 9165 (the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
All five are now being held at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.
