NBI agents arrested five people in the distribution of drugs during a rave party that killed an American and four others on May 21.
The party was held at the SM Mall of Asia for the ‘Closeup Forever Summer Concert.’
Those arrested include Serheoh Vllanueva, Marc Deen, Erica Valbuena, Thomas Halili and Martin Dimacali.
A sixth suspected eluded arrest after NBI agents swooped in to apprehend him at his Parañaque condominium.
The five arrested were in possession of a drug laboratory, along with drug paraphernalia and assorted drugs including marijuana, cocaine, Chinese Viagra, Valium and numerous other synthetic drugs.
The arrests came after an anonymous tip from a politician who claimed that the suspects sold drugs to one of his relatives and friends.
Officials believe that drugs were the cause of the deaths of those involved. An autopsy showed that three of the five victims died from heart attacks – the cause of death in the other two cases was undisclosed.
Police believe the drugs could have been a deadly cocktail that was produced in the drug lab found on the premises of those arrested.
