Some Filipinos in India want to return to Philippines

Some Filipinos in India want to return to the Philippines because of the increasing number of COVID-19 infections there. Some of them recounted how serious the situation of the patients there was because the hospitals were already full.

In a report by Dano Tingcungco on GTV “State of the Nation” on Tuesday, Fatima Sharma, a Filipina living in India, said she has compatriots who want to return to the Philippines.

“Ang situation in India is worse. I think. This is worse than last year,” said Sharma.

Anabelle Villamarin, a school principal in Haryana, said she has heard that only husbands perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) on their spouses due to the number of patients.

She also allegedly saw people leaving their relatives in the driveway because they could no longer take care of them.
