Anaheim police say an armed man, Percival Aguilar Agoncillo, aged 44, was arrested in the Esplanade area between Disneyland and California Adventure, after security found him with a loaded gun and ammunition.
He was arrested at 9pm on July 9, then booked and released on $20,000 bail. However, he was re-arrested after a background check found that he was on probation in San Francisco for carrying a loaded gun.
A search warrant was issued against Agoncillo’s residence in Orange County, San Mateo County. Crystal meth and a loaded .45 calibre Colt pistol were found.
San Mateo prosecutors have charged Agoncillo with felony possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of drugs while in the possession of firearms and more. He is also charged with two misdemeanors of being under the influence of drugs and possessing a small amount of meth.
He was remanded in custody at San Mateo County in lieu of $150,000 bail. An arraignment has been set for August 27.
