A Filipino caretaker of an apartment complex owned by a Japanese man has been arrested for falsifying rental documents in Clark.
Agents of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group arrested 37-year-old Alfie Basilio of 39 Purok 1, Porac, Pampanga.
Basilio will face 17 counts of falsification of commercial documents before the Pampanga Municipal Trial Court.
Earlier a judge issued a warrant against Basilio and recommended bail at 12,000 pesos for each offence for falsification of commercial documents.
Police say Basilio worked as a caretaker of the apartments and is accused of entering into rental contracts and collecting monthly rents from individuals without the knowledge of the Japanese owner.
Basilio is currently detained at the CIDG-Pampanga detention cell units.
