Filipino-American TV reporter was arrested for her part in a hit-and-run collision that injured a pedestrian.
Patricia Villacin, aged 23, was arrested after she drove the SUV over a pedestrian on a pedestrian crossing.
Ms Villacin is a reporter for News Channel 11. She is accused of running over a pedestrian, and then failing to stop or render any assistance for the injuries to his legs.
She was arrested at News Channel 11-KCBD on Thursday after a witness recorded her licence plate.
Villicin faces third-degree felony charges. She is currently out on $5,000 bail.
The victim of the hit-and-run was 24-year-old Taylor Hammond, who was hospitalised for multiple compound fractures to his right leg.
The station has removed her ‘bio’ page after her arrest. Her bosses say they will cooperate fully with authorities.
