A tenth grade female student was arrested for selling 70,000 pesos worth of dried marijuana leaves in a drug sting in General Santos City this week.
The girl, identified only as Mimi, is a student at Tampakan National High School in South Cotabato.
She was arrested after attempting to sell four dried bundles of marijuana to undercover agents in Apopong, General Santos City – the bundles are said to have weighed 2-kilos.
The suspect was temporarily placed under the custody of the Philippines Drug Enforcement Agency and was later turned over to the General Santos City Social Welfare and Development Office.
Although the girl is legally a minor, she will be criminally charged if a court deems she acted with discernment in selling the illegal drug.
