A female college student was found dead just down the stream near her house in Guagua, Pampanga. Before the crime, some neighbors saw men entering the victim’s home.
In a report on GMA News TV’s “Quick Response Team” on Friday, the victim was identified as Micaela Cayanan 19 years old. It was learned that the victim was alone at home when the crime occurred.
According to the victim’s mother, Angelita, neighbors noticed that four men entered the college student’s residence around 8:00 p.m. and asked for help.
A neighbor called the victim’s brother but could not find Micaela, so they asked the assistance of the barangay watchers and the police.
The victim’s body was found around 2:00 am in a creek just beside the psychology student’s house.
The mother of the college student said her daughter’s right cheek was broken. The victim also had wounds and bruises in her body.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Manny Calma, Guagua Police Chief, said they have begun questioning the victim’s neighbors.
The victim’s remains were also subjected to an autopsy to find out what led to her death and what the suspects might have done to her.
Although the police did not notice the bruises on the victim’s face, there were visible bruises on the victim’s hands and feet and a wound in the neck.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
