Father of 11-year-old girl found dead in Bulacan asks Duterte’s help

The father of the girl who was killed and possibly raped in Bulacan asked President Rodrigo Duterte for help to bring justice to her daughter. The 11-year-old victim allegedly dreams of becoming a flight stewardess.

Darlene Cay reported on GMA News “24 Oras” on Thursday that Jenny De Vera was found dead and naked on Wednesday, in the grassy area of Barangay Graceville, San Jose del Monte (SJDM) City.

Not far from De Vera’s body, the body of her 8-year-old boy Lou Anderson Icalla was also found.

They both had wounds to the head and other parts of the body.

According to the relatives of the victims, the two were just playing on Tuesday but they did not go home that night.

It was Wednesday at 1 pm when the bodies of the victims were found nearby.

The stone that was allegedly used in the murder is still there.

“Sana mahuli na yung gumawa sa kaniya niya,” said Maricon, mother of Jenny.

“Sumuko ka na. Hindi ka na naawa sa anak ko,” she lamented.

Jenny is the fourth of five siblings and her dream is to become a flight stewardess.

Jenny’s father, Endrigel, called on President Duterte to help them get justice for their daughter.

“Kay Pangulong Duterte, sana pansinin mo itong kaso ng anak ko. Kung sakaling mahuli ang kailangan na ano sa kaniya ay bitay,” the father said.

“Kung puwede ba mga tatlong beses bibitayin,” Endrigel added.

Icalia’s sister, on the other hand, will miss her cheerfulness and sweetness.

According to police, the bodies of the two children were autopsied to gather evidence and find out if Jenny was confirmed to have been raped.

Police Major Julis Alvarado, chief of the SJDM police, also said that it is possible that more than one person committed the crime.

“Dalawang suspek so far ang ating PUI (persons under investigation). So hoping na makakuha pa tayo ng magandang ebidensiya against dito sa mga suspek,” the official said.
